resurrection; rather than a body that could die again and that would require physical food and care, we will be nourished and sustained by the very power of eternal life that brought Jesus forth out of the grave. Romans 8:11; 1 Corinthians 15:50-54. There will be two resurrections, commonly known as the First and Second Resurrections. Revelation 20:6. "All that are in the graves shall hear His voice, and shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation." John 5:28, 29. The First Resurrection will happen at the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. This glorious appearing of Jesus will be at the conclusion of the 6 th Day of God's "Plan of the Ages" (see Section III on Dispensational Truth) and will bring in the 1,000 years of Peace (commonly known as "The Millennium"). 1 Thessalonians 4:33-17. 8. WILL ANYONE BE ALIVE WHEN JESUS COMES AGAIN? A. Some of God's children will be alive, for Paul states that "we which ARE ALIVE and REMAIN unto the coming of the Lord…shall be caught up together with them in the cloud." 1 Thessalonians 4:15-18. B. The same glory that draws the living and dead in Christ at His Second Coming shall also destroy the wicked. 2 Thessalonians l:7-10. 9. WHEN WILL THE SECOND RESURRECTION OCCUR? A. There is a great diversity of opinion on the teaching of the First and Second Resurrections. Not only do Bible teachers disagree about who is in the Resurrections, but 192 7.
