Awakened and Aligned
Beyond the futility of man’s wisdom, to the power of God’s wisdom. [1 Corinthians 1:18-2:5, 1 Corinthians 3:18-23]
Beyond what eyes have seen and ears have heard, to the reality of who He is and what He has prepared. [1 Corinthians 2:6-12]
Deep calls out to Deep...
Letting Go of the Familiar
Let’s look at the discussion in John 4:20-24 between the Samaritan woman and Jesus:
“ Our fathers worshiped on this mountain, but you Jews say that the place where one must worship is in Jerusalem.”
“Believe Me, woman,” Jesus replied, “a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem. You worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews. But a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth, for the Father is seeking such as these to worship Him. God is Spirit, and His worshipers must worship Him in spirit and in truth.” Jesus is explaining that past traditions and rituals of man does not constitute TRUE worship. It is not a certain location. It is not what we think we know. When Jesus came, He came to undo the works of the enemy and to make the way for us to come back to the Father…unhindered…in perfect relationship with Him…nothing in the way.
