Watchout For WOLVES: Keys To Discerning Authentic Ministries & Evaluating Doctrinal Trends

This message is very important for us today as we draw closer to Christ’s return. Jesus said that the last days will be especially characterized by a prevalence of deception (Mt. 24:4, 24; Mark 13:5; Luke 21:8). When referencing the context of His return He said, “Tak e heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many .” Matthew 24:4b-5 Jesus made it clear that there will be many false and deceptive ministries or false anointed ones (Mt. 24:5; Mark 13:6, 21-23). Then if anyone says to you, “Look, here is the Christ!” or, “Look, He is there!” do not believe it. For false christs and false prophets will rise and show signs and wonders to deceive , if possible, even the elect. But take heed; see, I have told you all things beforehand. Mark 13:21-23 "Then if anyone tells you, 'Look, here is the Messiah,' or 'There he is,' don't believe it. For false messiahs and false prophets will rise up and perform signs and wonders so as to deceive , if possible, even God's chosen ones. Watch out! I have warned you about this ahead of time! Mark 13:21-13, NLT

In addition, there will be many deceptive signs and wonders (Mt. 24:24; Mark 13:22; 2 Th. 2:9).

For false Christ’s and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive , if possible, even the elect. Matthew 24:24 Other New Testament writers confirm that the end times will be times of great deception. There will be many false and deceptive doctrines (1 Tim. 4:1).
