Keep writing down your requests. Step 8 Continue praying five minutes a day, seven days a week. Continue writing down your requests. Establish a weekly prayer appointment with another person. This appointment might be very short, but it needs to be a regular commitment to each other. Step 9 Continue praying five minutes evety day, and keep your weekly appointment with your prayer partner. On one day, set aside fifteen minutes. Spend a few minutes reading from Scripture, then talking to God about what you've read (anything you've learned about Him, promises or instructions He has given you, sins to clear up with Him, and so on). If you need a passage to start with, tty Psalm 33 or 34. Use the remainder of your time to pray as you usually do. This should be additional to any Bible reading program you may be going through.
