B. Lack of discipline in the areas no one else knows about. Probably the most common violation of this principle is TV viewing. We spend our energy in good pursuits and then think, "I've earned some down time." Then we spend it absorbing whatever might come on during the next two hours. Even if no one on earth ever sees me involved in dan gerous behavio1; God sees, and He is the one who gives and takes away authority.

E. Defensiveness and denial when others react to the undisciplined areas of our lives. People may not even realize what they are reacting to, but they will behave differently toward a leader who is disciplined than they will toward one who is undis ciplined. Do yourself and your followers the service of praying for a humble, attentive response to these types of reactions, that you might learn and grow from them. F. Giving in to weariness and discouragement during tough times. Faithful leaders remain faithful by learning how to manage pressure. It's when you're most fatigued or stressed that you need to pray and think most carefully about your decisions.
