Having taught Social Problems to college students for a long time, I can say unequivocally that until fairly recent times, homosexuality was always listed as a deviant behavior. The change in thinking, seeing it as normal, is more of a political statement than a clinical one. 6 Sadly, the church and its Judeo-Christian view appears to be the only institution left in America that opposes alternative lifestyles. Both our government and some of the mainline religions here in America have now embraced this anti-biblical view. Carl Gallups, author of The Magic Man in the Sky , in an interview with WND concerning Defense Secretary Leon Panetta’s support of gays and lesbians in our military said: Listen carefully to Secretary Panetta’s words, he says this event is a remarkable sign of a cultural change in the U.S. military. Yes, Gallups said, This is exactly what it is – a cultural change – a paradigm shift of worldviews. The reason that it is remarkable is that the change goes completely against the grain of the Judeo/Christian pillars and heritage of our nation’s founding. About 60 years ago, our culture decided it didn’t need God or the mention of His Word anymore. So, we have raised several generations of children to believe that they are the ‘me’ generation. They were taught that there is no God, there is no ‘higher authority,’ there are no moral absolutes, and that they are nothing more than a cosmic happenstance based upon sheer random luck. I have an entire chapter about this phenomenon in my new book. With such a worldview thoroughly ingrained within the institutions of our culture we now reap what we have sown. The abortion holocaust could not happen without first convincing the nation to believe that we are nothing more than a mere animal. The radical homosexual movement could have never risen to its current level without first persuading the nation that there is no standard of right and wrong concerning our sexuality. Homosexual marriage would have never been considered until first the nation became convinced that marriage is nothing special or divinely ordained, and that marriage can be defined anyway in which man finds pleasing to his flesh and lust. 7 When asked by WND why Gallups refers to homosexuality as a perversion, Gallups responded: First and foremost because the word of God describes it that way. Secondly, our own medical journals, just a few decades ago, described it in those terms (mental illness), and thirdly – just think about it! The military is actually going to celebrate the fact that two men have sex as though one of them is a woman! The U.S. military is actually going to openly celebrate that one man is going to have physiologically illogical sex with another man! And, to top it all off, the secretary of defense actually said, ‘Now you can be proud of serving your country, and be proud of who you are .’” A person who is a homosexual can always be proud of serving his country, I have no problem with that. But neither the U.S. military, nor the U.S. government has any business declaring that a person can be proud of having perverted sex and that we will help them celebrate it with military and government sanction. For those of us who come from a Biblical worldview – we know that this is simply inviting the judgment of God upon us. May God have mercy upon us. 7 A certain spokesman for the controversial homosexual group ACT UP stated that in order for the alternative lifestyle movement to succeed in America the Church and the Bible would have to have a “face-lift.” He said: Finally, we will in all likelihood want to expunge a number of passages from your Scriptures and rewrite others, eliminating preferential treatment of marriage and using words that will allow for homosexual interpretations of passages. 8 Unfortunately for America, both the government and activists have already succeededwithin some of themainline Protestant denominations. 9 Homosexual activists in some of these major denominations have so clouded the issues regarding the Biblical view of homosexuality as to threaten each with schism and ruin. The ultimate goal, of course, of the alternative lifestyle crowd in America is to eventually “vilify” the rest of us in Christendom into submitting to their evolutionary humanistic thinking. God help us if we succumb… Pat Robertson has correctly noted: The acceptance of homosexuality is the last step in the decline of Gentile civilization. 10 (2) for a woman to prostitute herself (Gen 38:13-24, Lev 19:29 & 21:9 and Deut 22:13-21 & 23:17-18) God never created the woman (His greatest design - Gen 2:18b ) to sell herself for money ( Gen 2:18b ). It is an insult to the Creator whenever His greatest design sells her self for mere money. (3) for humans to have sex with animals (Exo 22:19, Lev 18:23 & 20:15-16 and Deut 27:2) Man was created in the image of God, above the animals ( Gen 1:24-27 ). Sex outside the boundaries of God-ordained standards is an insult to the Designer. NOTE – The following crimes (under the Moral Laws for the nation of Israel) were also considered crimes against God: * worshipping false gods (Exo 20:3-6 & 22:20 & 23:13, Lev 19:4 & 26:1 and Deut 4:19 & 5:6-9 & 7:25,26 & 13:6-18 & 16:21,22 & 17:2-5 & 27:15), which included falsely sacrificing (Lev 17:8,9 & 18:21 & 20:2-5 and Deut 17:1 & 18:10) by profaning the blood sacrifices, which depicted CHRIST (Gen 9:4, Lev 3:17 & 7:26 & 17:10-16 & 19:26 and Deut 12:16, 23-25 & 15:23), falsely prophesying (Deut 13:1-5 & 18:20-22), blaspheming God (Exo 20:7 and Lev 19:12 & 22:32 & 24:10-16,23 and Deut 5:11), and sacrificing your children to false gods (Lev 18:21 & 20:2-5 and Deut 18:10). Nothing sends a person to hell faster than worshipping the wrong god (Jn 8:24, Deut 32:17 and I Cor 10: 19- 20 ).
