PSALMS 139:16

thou wilt revive me: thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me. 8 The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O LORD, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands. Psalm 139 A psalm of David Date Written - Unknown God is all-knowing (omniscience) 1 O LORD, thou hast searched me, and known me. 2 9 Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off. 3 Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways. 4 For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, 10 thou knowest it altogether. 5 Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me. 6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it. God is everywhere present (omnipresent) 7 Whither shall I go from thy SPIRIT ? or whither shall I flee from thy presence? 8 If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there. 9 If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea; 10 Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me. 11 If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me. 12 Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee . God is all-powerful (omnipotence) 13 For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb.

1 By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down, yea, we wept, when we remembered Zion. 2 We hanged our harps upon the willows in the midst thereof. 3 For there 1 they that carried us away captive required of us a song; and they that wasted us required of us mirth, saying, Sing us one of the songs of Zion. 4 How shall we sing the LORD’S song in a strange land? 5 If I forget thee, O Jerusalem, 2 let my right hand forget her cunning. 6 If I do not remember thee, 3 let my tongue cleave to the roof of my mouth; if I prefer not Jerusalem above my chief joy. 7 Remember, O LORD, 4 the children of Edom in the day of Jerusalem; who said, 5 Rase it, rase it, even to the foundation thereof. 8 O daughter of Babylon, 6 who art to be destroyed; happy shall 7 he be, that rewardeth thee as thou hast served us. 14 I will praise thee; for 11 I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. 15 12 My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. 16 Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my 137:6 The psalmist’s message is clear.
