PSALMS 73:4

8 4 HE shall have 6 dominion also from sea to sea, and from the river unto the ends of the earth. P 9 They that dwell in the wilderness shall bow before 4 HIM ; and his enemies shall lick the dust. P 10 4 The kings of Tarshish and of the isles shall bring presents: the kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts. P 11 Yea, 7 all kings shall fall down before 4 HIM : all nations shall serve him. P 12 For 4 HE shall deliver the needy when he crieth; the poor also, and him that hath no helper. P 13 4 HE shall spare the poor and needy, and shall save the souls of the needy. P 14 4 HE shall redeem their soul from deceit and violence: 8 and precious shall their blood be in his sight. P 15 And 4 HE shall live, and to him shall be given of the gold of Sheba: prayer also shall be made for him continually; and daily shall 4 HE be praised. P 16 4 There shall be an handful of corn in the earth upon the top of the mountains; the fruit thereof shall shake like Lebanon: and they of the city shall flourish like grass of the earth. P 17 4 HIS name shall endure for ever: his name shall be continued as long as the sun: and men shall be blessed in him: all nations shall call 10 HIM blessed. P 18 Blessed be the LORD God, the God of Israel, who only doeth wondrous things. 19 And blessed be his glorious name for ever: and let the whole earth be filled with 4 HIS glory; Amen, and Amen. Psalm 73 A psalm of Asaph (See - II Chro 29:30) [Asaph was King David’s choir director - I Chro 16:37] Date Written - c. 1040 BC/AM 2960 1 Truly God is good to Israel, even to such as are of a clean heart. 2 But as for me, my feet were almost gone; my steps had well nigh slipped. 3 For I was envious at the foolish, 11 when I saw the prosperity of the wicked. 4 For there are no bands in their death: but their strength is firm.

18 Now also when I am old and greyheaded, O God, forsake me not; until I have shewed thy strength unto this generation, and thy power to every one that is to come. 19 Thy righteousness also, O God, is very high, who hast done great things: O God, who is like unto thee! 20 Thou, which hast shewedme great and sore troubles, shalt quicken me again, and shalt bring me up again from the depths of the earth. 21 Thou shalt increase my greatness, and comfort me on every side. 22 I will also praise thee with the 1 psaltery, even thy truth, O my God: unto thee will I sing with the 2 harp, O thou 3 HOLY O N E of Israel. 23 My lips shall greatly rejoice when I sing unto thee; and my soul, which thou hast redeemed. 24 My tongue also shall talk of thy righteousness all the day long: for they are confounded, for they are brought unto shame, that seek my hurt. 73:2 Asaph ( But as for me ), disillusioned over the nation being divided by civil war after Solomon’s death, cried out to God, “Where is justice? How can I have confidence in God when life seems to favor less-principled people who have no regard for You?” However, the lens through which he viewed his complaint was clouded by the circumstances of the day, personal resentment, and confusion.
