PSALMS 9:17

they shall fall and perish at thy presence. 4 For thou hast maintained my right and my cause; thou satest in the throne judging right. 5 Thou hast rebuked the heathen, thou hast destroyed the wicked, thou hast put out their name 7 for ever and ever. 6 O thou enemy, destructions are come to a perpetual end: and thou hast destroyed cities; their memorial is perished with them. 7 But the 8 LORD shall endure for ever: 9 HE hath prepared his throne for judgment. P 8 And 9 HE shall 10 judge the world in righteousness, he shall minister judgment to the people in uprightness. P 9 The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. 10 And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek thee. 11 Sing praises to the LORD, which dwelleth in Zion: declare among the people his doings. 12 When he maketh inquisition for blood, he remembereth them: he forgetteth not the cry of the humble. 13 Have mercy upon me, O LORD; consider my trouble which I suffer of them that hate me, thou that liftest me up from the 11 gates of death: 14 That I may shew forth all thy praise in the gates of the daughter of Zion: I will rejoice in thy salvation. 15 The heathen are sunk down in the pit that they made: in the net which they hid is their own foot taken. 16 The LORD is known by the judg- ment which he executeth: the wicked is snared in the work of his own hands. Higgaion. Selah. 17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.

Psalm 8 A psalm of David Date Written - Unknown

1 O 1 LORD our 2 LORD , how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens. 2 3 Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast THOU ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger. P 3 When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; 4 4 What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? 5 4 For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour. 6 4 Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; 5 thou hast put all things under his feet: 7 All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field; 8 The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas. 9 O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! Psalm 9 A psalm of King David [Probably written when King David (45 years old) defeated the surrounding heathen - II Sam 8:6] Date Written - c. 1035 BC/AM 2965 1 I will praise thee, O LORD, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy mar- vellous works. 2 I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High. 3 When 6 mine enemies are turned back,

8:2 According to verse 1, “ THOU ” refers to Jehovah , which, according to Matthew 21:16, refers to CHRIST . 8:4 The earth is 27,000 light years away from the middle of our Milky Way Galaxy. Meaning: You’d have to travel at the speed of light for 27,000 years just to reach the center of our galaxy… and there are billions upon billions of galaxies beyond our own. How “mighty” do you feel now? NOTE – If, like David, you’ll correct your perspective ( What is man, that thou art mindful of him? ), then, like David, you’ll have a correct view of God (vs 1). 8:5 This word ( angels ) is the Hebrew word “ Elohim .” The original Hebrew reads this way, “ For thou hast made him lack a little from God ( Elohim ).” 8:6 Man is intellectually superior to animals (Jms 3:7); he was made to have dominion over the animals. Man is not an accident of nature nor did he evolve from animals ( Gen 1:24 ). 9:14 God’s salvation is linked to His eternal immutability. This word ( salvation ) is the Hebrew word “ Yeshua .” Yeshua is the name given to JESUS at His birth ( Gen 49:18 / Mt 1:21 ). Yeshua is the Eternal One ( Mic 5:2 ), who never changes (Heb 13:8). 9:17 The doctrine of hell is one of the most difficult doctrines in the Bible for a person to believe and understand. Neither man nor devil would have created such a doctrine. The assertion that God MUST judge sin and sinners because He is JUST clashes with our modern notions of the kind of God we wish to envision. ( Mt 25:41b ). C.S. Lewis in The Problem of Pain notes:
