I KINGS 7:13

1 But Solomon was building his own house 1 thirteen years, and he finished all his house. 2 He built also the house of the forest of Lebanon; the length thereof was an 2 hundred cubits, and the breadth thereof 3 fifty cubits, and the height thereof 4 thirty cubits, upon four rows of cedar pillars, with cedar beams upon the pillars. 3 And it was covered with cedar above upon the beams, that lay on forty five pillars, fifteen in a row. 4 And there were windows in three rows, and light was against light in three ranks. 5 And all the doors and posts were square, with the windows: and light was against light in three ranks. 6 And he made a porch of pillars; the length thereof was 5 fifty cubits, and the breadth thereof 6 thirty cubits: and the porch was before them: and the other pillars and the thick beam were before them. 7 Then he made a porch for the throne where he might judge, even the porch of judgment: and it was covered with cedar from one side of the floor to the other. 8 And his house where he dwelt had another court within the porch, which was of the like work. Solomon made also an house for Pharaoh’s daughter, whom he had taken to wife, like unto this porch. 9 All these were of costly stones, according to the measures of hewed stones, sawed with saws, within and without, even from the foundation unto the coping, and so on the outside toward the great court. 10 And the foundation was of costly stones, even great stones, stones of 7 ten cubits, and stones of eight cubits. 11 And above were costly stones, after the measures of hewed stones, and cedars.

Hinduism (like Buddhism - Dan 4:33 ) views God and the universe as one. It is a religious and social system accepted and practiced by a majority of the people of India. Unlike most of the major religions of the world, Hinduism has no known founder and does not make use of fixed creeds, although there is a large body of sacred Hindu literature. So, when comparing Hindu literature to that of the Jewish Scriptures with the purpose of determining which should be pursued, all one must do is com- pare the differences. There are five glaring differ- ences between Hinduism and Christianity : 1. Whereas Christianity began c. 4,000 BC in the Garden of Eden with the promise of salvation through CHRIST (Gen 3:15), Hinduism began around 1,000 BC with no promise of salvation, only the promise of reincarnation ( Gen 1:24 ). 2. Whereas Christianity rests upon a founda- tion of belief in a personal Savior (Lk 2:11, Eph 2:8-9, Acts 4:12 and Titus 3:5), Hinduism rests upon a foundation of behavior called “ karma .” Karma is a Sanskrit word meaning “action” or “ work .” According to Hinduism, “karma” is the “force” generated by a person’s behavior that de- termines his/her destiny in the next existence ( Titus 3:5 a ). 3. Whereas Christianity is exclusive in the sense that it provides only one way to get to Heaven ( Jn 14:6 and Acts 4:12), not accepting of any other system of belief (Deut 13:1-5), Hinduism is tolerant of other religions, even to the point of assimilating elements from them. 4. Whereas Christianity has not changed her doc- trine since the world began (Titus 1:2, Rev 13:8, Mal 3:6 and Heb 13:8), Hinduism has changed their doctrine multitudes of times over the years. The historical development of Hinduism and its doctrine has changed drastically over the millennia. Historically, Hinduism falls into five divisions: Vedic Hinduism, Transitional Brahmanic Hinduism, Speculative Hindu- ism, Divergent Hinduism, and now Reformed Hinduism. 5. Whereas Christianity has but one God in three persons ( FATHER , SON , and HOLY SPIRIT ), Hinduism has thousands of deities and over the millennia has “re-rated” them according to importance. NOTE - The God of Christianity is one (unified. Deut. 6:4) and exists as three distinct co-eternal persons called the Godhead (Gen 1:1,26 & 11:7, Exo 20:1-3, Isa 6:8 & 42:8 & 43:10 & 44:6 & 48:11, II Pet 3:18, Jude 25 and Rev 5:12-13).
