11:7 The Antichrist will kill God’s two witnesses during the middle of the seven-year Tribulation Period right before he sets himself up as God. The Antichrist’s ability to kill these two men when no one else can, will help to deceive the world into thinking that he really is God (II Thess 2:3-4). 11:11 These two men do not receive their new resurrected bodies here. They, like the rest of the OT saints, will have to wait until CHRIST returns at the SECOND COMING ( Rev 20:4a ). Which means: The pre-Israel saints (represented here by Enoch) will receive their resurrected bodies with the OT saints (represented here by Elijah). NOTE – There are four permanent resurrections of saved individuals ( I Cor 15: 22- 23 ). Chronologically, they are: (1) All Church Age saints (NT saints) at the Rapture (I Thess 4:13-18 and I Cor 15:51-57); (2) Tribulation saints (Rev 7:9-14); (3) All OT saints at the Second Coming (Dan 12:1-2); which includes pre-Israel (Rev 11:3-11); and (4) All Millennial saints at the end of the Millennium ( Isa 65:20a ). 11:15 This word ( he shall reign ) is the Greek word E α σ ιλε Xσ ε L ( basileusei ). It is singular in number (a singular verb), yet is connected with a plural subject ( the kingdoms of our LORD , and of his CHRIST ). Meaning: Jesus is as much God as the Father is God for He is addressed equally with the Father. What John was saying was: “ H E (both the FATHER and the SON – I Thess 3:11 ) shall bring you the kingdom, even the LORD and his CHRIST ” (not “they shall bring you the kingdom”). NOTE – According to the Bible, both the FATHER (Ezk 43:6-7, Zech 8:18-23 & 14:16-17 and Rev 7:15 & 11:17 & 12:10) and the SON (Rev 12:5, Dan 7:14,27, Mt 2:1-2 and Lk 1:32-33) ( H E ) will co-reign together in the Kingdom ( Isa 24:23 & 25:6 ). Then, because of the eternal price that CHRIST was willing to pay on the cross for our sins, He will hand over the Kingdom to the FATHER and become subject to Him for all eternity future ( I Cor 15:28 ).
