The promise of CHRIST’S return (Rapture) ; of a resurrected body for NT saints (Fulfilled - Rev 4:1 & 2) 2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, 14 and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, 9 when he shall appear, 15 we shall be like him; 16 for we shall see him as he is. P P 3 And every man that hath this hope in 17 him 18 purifieth himself, even as he is pure. 4 Whosoever committeth sin trans- gresseth also the law: 19 for sin is the trans- gression of the law. 5 And ye know that 20 he was manifest- ed to take away our sins; and in 21 him is no sin. Our old nature CAN sin 6 Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him. 7 Little children, 22 let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. 8 He that 23 committeth sin is of the 24 devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the 25 SON OF GOD was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the 26 devil. P Our new nature CANNOT sin 9 27 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his 28 seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. 10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the 29 children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother. 11 For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, 30 that we should love one another. 12 Not as 31 Cain, 29 who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother’s 32 righteous. 13 Marvel not, my brethren, 33 if the world hate you.
20 But ye have an unction from the 1 HOLY ONE , and ye know all things. 21 I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth. Those who deny the Deity of JESUS CHRIST are liars 22 2 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the 3 CHRIST ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. 23 Whosoever denieth the 4 Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that ac- knowledgeth the Son hath the Father also. 24 Let that therefore abide in you, 5 which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the be- ginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father. 25 And 6 this is the 7 PROMISE that he hath promised us, even eternal life. 26 These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you. 27 But the 1 ANOINTING which ye have received of HIM abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same 8 ANOINTING teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. The promise of CHRIST’S 28 And now, little children, abide in him; that, 9 when HE shall appear, we may have 10 confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming. P 29 If ye know that he is 11 righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him. I John 3 The love of God Date Written - c. 3:2 The Bible does not specifically state what age we will be in Heaven for all of eternity. When we consider that Adam and Eve were created in the “prime of their lives,” and that Jesus died and was resurrected in the “prime of His life,” and that “ we shall be like Him, ” it only makes sense that when we die, we too will be resurrected with a “prime of life” anatomy. 3:3 There are three reasons why Christians are told to dwell on the resurrection ( The Feast of First Fruits ): 1. Dwelling on our resurrection keeps us focused on living right ( purifieth himself – vs 3) The reason dwelling on our resurrection keeps us pure is because our new resurrected body will be eternal; it is going to be our
