2105

Written From Babylon (Rome)

20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. 21 17 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: 18 but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. II Peter 2 Peter cautions Christians to beware of false teachers Date Written - c. AD 67 1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as 19 there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even 20 denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. 2 Andmanyshall followtheir 21 pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. 3 And through covetousness shall they with 22 feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not. The promise of eternal punishment for Satan’s angels (demons) (Fulfilled - Rev 20:10) 4 For if God spared not 23 the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, 24 to be reserved unto judgment; P 5 And spared not the old world, but saved 25 Noah the eighth person , a preacher of 26 RIGHTEOUSNESS , 27 bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly; 6 28 And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an example unto those that after should live ungodly;

P 12 Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know them , and be established in the present truth. 13 Yea, I think it meet, as long as I am in this 4 tabernacle, to stir you up by putting you in remembrance; 14 Knowing that shortly I must 5 put off this my tabernacle, even as our Lord Jesus Christ 6 hath shewed me. 15 Moreover I will endeavour that ye may be able after my 7 decease to have these things always in remembrance. 16 For we have not followed cunningly devised fables,whenwemadeknownunto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were 8 eyewitnesses of his majesty. 17 For 9 HE received from 10 GOD THE FATHER honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved 11 SON , in whom I am well pleased . 18 And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the 12 holy mount. The promise of CHRIST’S Second Coming (Fulfilled - Rev 19:11-21) 19 13 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a 14 light that shineth in a dark place, until the 15 DAY dawn, and the 16 DAY STAR arise in your hearts: P CHRIST will rule (Fulfilled - Rev 20:4,6)

1:16 Whenever skeptics and infidels get together to argue against the Word of God, they never fail to bring up the supposed contradictions and discrepancies ( cunningly devised fables ) within the Synoptic Gospels (Matthew, Mark and Luke). Note, however, what Peter said: For we have not followed cunningly devised fables … Peter included himself with the Synoptic writers here and pointed out the fact that if all of them had followed a cunningly concocted tale – if there had been a conspiracy to deceive the public with bogus history, they would have gotten together and agreed upon “every detail” that went into each of the stories. They did not. They simply told their account of what they saw from an independent viewpoint. Which means one may have put in details that the other left out, or one may have related a whole incident that another did not bother to mention. There are no contradictions and/or discrepancies, just different viewpoints about what happened. The Synoptic Gospels are three independent views, introducing details that are not contradictory, but which illuminate the record of the other writers. NOTE – The first two chapters of Genesis point to the same conclusion. In the first chapter of Genesis, Moses gave a running account of the complete work of God in the six days of creation. Then in chapter two he goes back and summarizes the work of two of those six days, adding additional details. Again, there are no contradictions. Scribal errors simple mechanical mistakes when copying the Scriptures) are the only “supposed” discrepancies that this author
