whereof we speak. P 6 But 15 one in a certain place testified, saying, 16 What is man, 17 that THOU art mindful of him? or the SON OF MAN , that THOU visitest him? 7 16 THOU madest HIM a little lower than the angels; THOU crownedst him with glory and honour, and didst set HIM over the works of THY hands: 8 16 THOU hast put 18 all things in subjec- tion under HIS feet. For in that HE put all in subjection under HIM , HE left nothing that is not put under HIM . But now we see not yet all things put under him. 9 But we see JESUS , 19 who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that 20 HE by the grace of GOD should taste death for every man. 10 For it became 21 HIM , for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the 22 CAPTAIN OF THEIR SALVATION perfect through sufferings. 11 For both HE that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of 23 one: for which cause HE is not ashamed to call them 24 brethren, 12 Saying, 25 I will declare THY name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee. 13 And again, 26 I will put my trust in HIM . And again, 27 Behold I and the children which GOD hath given me. The promise of Satan’s eternal punishment (Fulfilled - Rev 20:10) 14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, 28 HE also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death 29 he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; P 15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

10 1 And,Thou, 2 LORD , in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands: The promise to destroy this world and its system (Fulfilled - Rev 20:11) 11 1 They 3 shall perish; but THOU 4 remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment; P 12 1 And as a vesture shalt thou 3 fold them up, and they shall be changed: but THOU art 5 the same, and THY years shall not fail. P The promise of a Kingdom where 13 But to which of the angels said HE at any time, 6 Sit on MY right hand, until I make thine enemies 7 THY footstool? 14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation? Hebrews 2 Warning! Hear and obey Date Written - c. AD 61 1 Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip. 2 For if the 8 word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward; 3 9 How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the 10 LORD , and was confirmed unto 11 us by 12 them that heard him; 4 GOD also bearing 12 them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and 13 gifts of the HOLY GHOST , according to his own will? 5 For unto the angels hath HE not put in subjection the 14 WORLD 7 to come, CHRIST will rule (Fulfilled - Rev 20:4,6)

1:14 It is the duty of angels to “minister” on behalf of those who shall be heirs of salvation (Dan 10:4-14). That means that every believer has an angel looking out for him while here on earth. According to Matthew 18:10 , every child born into this world not only has his name automatically written in the book of life, but is given a guardian angel until that child comes to the age of accountability (which differs with each child). If, at that time, the child comes to know Jesus, the child keeps his angel for life and never has to fear his name getting blotted out of the book of life (Phil 4:3, Lk 10:20 and Rev 3:5 & 21:27). 2:2 According to Deuteronomy 33:2, angels accompanied the ANGEL OF THE LORD (Acts 7:35 and Exo 3:1-14) in the giving of the law to the children of Israel (Gal 3:19). 2:12 This word ( church ) is the Greek word HNNOKσLD ( ekklesia ). Here, in verse 12, it does not denote an assembly of called-out believers (the Church). It denotes a Jewish congregation (Psa 22:22). Ekklesia was used to describe one of five different assemblies ( Mt 16:18 d ).
