EPHESIANS 4:19 - 5:20

19 Who being past feeling 1 have given themselves over unto 2 lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness. 20 But ye have not so learned Christ; 21 If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus: 22 That ye 3 put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; Christians who give their minds to God will learn to be: 23 And be 4 renewed in the spirit of your mind; 24 And that ye 5 put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. Truthful 25 Wherefore putting away lying, 6 speak every man truth with his neighbour: 7 for we are members one of another. Temperate 26 8 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: 27 9 Neither give place to the devil. Trustworthy 28 Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, 10 that he may have to give to him that needeth. Tightlipped 29 Let no 11 corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. Tenderhearted 30 And grieve not the 12 HOLY SPIRIT of God, whereby ye are 13 sealed 14 unto the day of redemption. P 31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and 15 evil speaking, be 16 put away from you, with all malice: 32 And be ye kind one to another, tender- hearted, 17 forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you. Ephesians 5 The SPIRIT -filled walk of a Christian Date Written - c. AD 62 1 Be ye therefore followers of God, 18 as dear children; 2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath

loved us, and hath given 19 himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a 20 sweetsmelling savour. 3 But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints; 4 Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks. 5 For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, 21 hath any inheritance in the 22 KINGDOM OF CHRIST and of God. 6 23 Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. 7 24 Be not ye therefore partakers with them. 8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye 25 light in the Lord: walk as children of light: 9 (For the 26 fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;) 10 Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord. 11 27 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. 12 For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret. 13 But all things that are 28 reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light. 14 Wherefore he saith, 29 Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and CHRIST ( JEHOVAH ) shall give thee light. 15 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, 16 30 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. 17 Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the 31 will of the Lord is. Three benefits of the SPIRIT -filled life: (These same 3 benefits are found in Colossians 3:16-23) 18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the SPIRIT ; Joy
