27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. 28 And even as they did not like to re- tain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are 1 not convenient; 29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, 30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 Without understanding, covenant- breakers, without natural affection, impla- cable, unmerciful: 32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them. Romans 2 God’s indictment of the religious self-righteous Date Written - AD 57 1 Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, 2 thou con- demnest thyself; 3 for thou that judgest doest the same things. 2 But we are sure that the judgment of God is 4 according to truth against them which commit such things. 3 And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God? 4 Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and 5 forbearance and 6 long- suffering; not knowing that the 7 good- ness of God leadeth thee to repentance? The promise of a JUDGMENT DAY to come (Fulfilled - Rev 20:11-15) 5 But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the 8 righteous judgment of God; P 6 8 Who will render to every man 9 ac- cording to his deeds: P 7 To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:

8 But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey un- righteousness, indignation and wrath, 9 Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile; God’s acquittal of the saved 10 But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile: 11 10 For there is no respect of persons with God. 12 For as many as have sinned 11 with- out law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law; 13 12 (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the 13 doers of the law shall be justified. 14 For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves: 15 Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;) 16 In the day when God shall 8 judge the secrets of men by 14 JESUS CHRIST according to my gospel. P God’s indictment of the self-righteous Jew 17 Behold, thou art called a Jew, and rest- est in the law, and makest thy boast of God, 18 And knowest his will, and approvest the things that are more excellent, being instructed out of the law; 19 And art confident that 15 thou thyself art a guide of the blind, a light of them which are in darkness, 20 An instructor of the foolish, a teacher of babes, which hast the form of knowl- edge and of the truth in the law. 21 Thou therefore which teachest an- other, teachest thou not thyself? thou that preachest a man should not 16 steal, dost thou steal? 22 Thou that sayest a man should not commit 17 adultery, dost thou commit adultery? thou that abhorrest 18 idols, dost thou commit sacrilege?

23 Thou that makest thy boast of the law, through breaking the law dishonourest thou God? 1:27 This word ( men ) is the Greek word DUσHQH9 ( arsenes ). Paul took this word directly from the Greek translation (Septuagint) of Leviticus’ prohibitions against homosexual behavior (Lev 18:22 & 20:13). Joe Dallas in The Gay Gospel notes:
