JOHN 8:12

37 In the last day, that great day of the 1 feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. The promise of HOLY SPIRIT power for witnessing (Fulfilled - Acts 2:4 - AD 32) 38 He that believeth on me , as the scripture hath said , 2 out of his belly shall flow rivers of 3 LIVINGWATER . P The promise of HOLY SPIRIT embodiment (Fulfilled - Jn 20:22 - AD 32) 39 (Butthisspakeheofthe 4 SPIRIT ,which they that believe on him should receive: for the HOLY GHOST was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.) P 40 Many of the people therefore, when they heard this saying, said, Of a truth this is the 5 PROPHET . 41 Others said, This is the 6 CHRIST . But some said, Shall Christ come out of Galilee? 42 Hath not the scripture said, 7 That Christ cometh of the seed of David, 8 and out of the town of Bethlehem, 9 where David was? 43 So there was a division among the people because of him. 44 And some of them would have taken him; but no man laid hands on him. 45 Then came the officers to the chief priests and Pharisees; and they said unto them, Why have ye not brought him? 46 The officers answered, Never man spake like this man. 47 Then answered them the Pharisees, Are ye also deceived? 48 Have any of the rulers or of the Pharisees believed on him? 49 But this people who knoweth not the law are cursed. 50 Nicodemus saith unto them, 10 (he that came to 11 Jesus by night, being one of them,) 51 Doth our law judge any man, before it hear him, and know what he doeth? 52 They answered and said unto him,
Art thou also of Galilee? Search, and look: 12 for out of Galilee ariseth no prophet. 53 And every man went unto his own house. John 8 A woman caught in adultery is brought before CHRIST Date - AD 31 1 Jesus went unto the mount of Olives. 2 And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came unto him; and he sat down, and taught them. 3 And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst, 4 They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act. 5 Now Moses 13 in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou? 6 This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not. 7 So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. 8 And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground. 9 And they which heard it, 14 being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. 10 When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman , where are those thine accusers ? hath no man condemned thee ?

11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, 15 Neither do I condemn thee : go , and sin no more . CHRIST discusses the “Light of the World” with the Pharisees 12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, 7:37 Jesus here was claiming to be the ROCK ( If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink – I Cor 10:1-4), which supplied Israel with life-saving water during her forty-year wilderness wanderings (Exo 17:1-6 and Num 20:1-11). 7:38 “ Living Water ” here is used to depict the HOLY SPIRIT’S ability to channel salvation through believers to unbelievers ( Psa 133:2 ). Christians are not to be cisterns (wells that simply hold water, i.e., salvation); they are to be springs of “Living Waters” (channels through which the HOLY SPIRIT can constantly work His work, which is seeing souls saved - Jn 6:28-29, Lk 24:49 and Acts 1:8). 7:53 While most textual scholars argue that John 7:53–8:11 was not part of the original manuscript of the Gospel of John, they do
