LUKE 18:9

34 I tell you, 5 in that night there shall be 12 two men in one bed; the one shall be 13 taken, and the 14 other shall be left. P 35 5 Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be 13 taken, and the 14 other left. P 36 5 Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be 13 taken, and the 14 other left. P 37 And they answered and said unto him, 15 Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body is, 16 thither will the eagles be gathered together . P Luke 18 Parable #30 - The widow and the judge [A lesson for the saved - Never equate God with man. Unlike the unjust judge, God, who is just, wants to be bothered by our burdens - Lk 11:5-13] Date - AD 32 1 And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought 17 always to pray, and not to faint; 2 Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man: 3 And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary. 4 And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man; 5 Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me . 6 And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith. 7 And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, 18 though he bear long with them? 8 I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless 5 when the SON OF MAN cometh, shall he find faith on the earth ? P Parable #31 - The Pharisee and the Publican [A lesson for the unsaved - Never assume that religion makes you more righteous than others before God] 9 And he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others:
should come, he answered them and said, The 1 KINGDOM OF GOD cometh not with observation: 21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is 2 within you . 22 And he said unto the disciples, The days will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the 3 days of the Son of man, and ye shall not see it. 23 4 And they shall say to you, See here; or, see there: go not after them, nor fol- low them. The promise of CHRIST’S Second Coming (Fulfilled - Rev 19:11-21) 24 For as the lightning, that lighteneth out of the one part under heaven, shineth unto the other part under heaven; 5 so shall also the SON OF MAN be in his day. P The promise of CHRIST’S rejection and arrest (Fulfilled - Lk 22:47-54 - AD 32) 25 6 But first must he suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation. P 26 And as it was in the days of Noe, 5 so shall it be also in the days of the SON OF MAN . P 27 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, 7 until the day that Noe 8 entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. 28 Likewise also as it was in the days of 9 Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; 29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. 30 Even thus shall it be 5 in the day when the SON OF MAN is revealed. P 31 In that 10 DAY , he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back. P 32 11 Remember Lot’s wife. 33 Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.

17:26 The Flood ( the days of Noah ) was a prototype of the final judgment ( DAY OF THE LORD - I Thess 5:2 and II Pet 3:3-7), which will make a sudden and fearful end of the second world. Sadly, the world will appear to hardly even notice the events leading up to the return of Christ (vs 27-28), even though all the signs concerning His return will have occurred ( Mk 13:4 ). 17:27-28 Just as Noah and Lot (vs 29) avoided the wrath of God (due to their “position” in Christ - II Pet 2:5-9), so it appears that the Church (due to its “position” in Christ - I Thess 5:1-9), will also avoid the time of God’s WRATH , called the DAY OF THE LORD . Interestingly enough, it appears that both the righteous saints (represented by Noah - II Pet 2:5) and the unrighteous saints represented by Lot - II Pet 2:6-9) are promised deliverance from the WRATH to come via the Rapture of the Church. The question, which determines which view a Christian holds to concerning the event of the Rapture, is: When does this time
