MARK 14:50
1603
22 And as they did eat, Jesus took bread and blessed, and brake it, and gave to them, and said, 1 Take, eat: 2 this is my body . 23 And he took the 3 cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them: and they all drank of it. The promise of CHRIST’S redemptive work (Fulfilled - Mk 15:33,34,37 - AD 32) 24 And he said unto them, This is my blood of the 4 new testament, 5 which is shed for many . P The promise of a Kingdom where 25 Verily I say unto you, I will drink no more of the fruit of the vine, 6 until that day that I drink it new in the kingdom of God . P CHRIST and His disciples enter Gethsemane (S/A - Mt 26:30) Date - Early Fri, Apr, AD 32 26 And when they had sung an 7 hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives. CHRIST foretells of Peter’s denial (S/A - Mt 26:31-38 & Lk 22:31-38 & Jn 13:31-38) Date - Thurs, Apr, AD 32 27 And Jesus saith unto them, All ye shall be 8 offended because of me this night: for it is written, 9 I will 10 smite the SHEPHERD , and the sheep shall be scattered . P The promise of CHRIST’S resurrection ; to meet with HIS disciples again in Galilee (Fulfilled - Mk 16:6,7 - AD 32) 28 But after that 11 I am risen, 12 I will go before you into Galilee . PP 29 But Peter said unto him, Although all shall be offended, yet will not I. 30 And Jesus saith unto him, Verily I say unto thee, That this day, even in this night, before the cock crow twice, 13 thou shalt deny me thrice . P 31 But he spake the more vehemently, If I should die with thee, I will not deny thee in any wise. Likewise also said they all. CHRIST prays in anguish (S/A - Mt 26:36-46 & Lk 22:39-46 & Jn 18:1) 32 And they came to a place which was named Gethsemane: and he saith to his disciples, Sit ye here, while I shall pray . 33 And he taketh with him Peter and James and John, and began to be sore amazed, and to be very heavy; 34 And saith unto them, My soul is ex- ceeding sorrowful unto death: tarry ye CHRIST will rule (Fulfilled - Rev 20:4,6)
here, and watch . 35 And he went forward a little, and fell on the ground, and prayed that, if it were possible, the hour might pass from him. 36 And HE said, 14 Abba, FATHER , all things are possible unto thee; 15 take away this cup from me: 16 nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt . PF 37 And he cometh, and findeth them sleeping, and saith unto Peter, Simon, sleepest thou? couldest not thou watch one hour ? 38 17 Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The 18 SPIRIT truly is ready, but the flesh is weak . 39 And again he went away, and prayed, and spake the same words. 40 And when he returned, he found them asleep again, (for their eyes were heavy,) neither wist they what to answer him. 41 And he cometh the third time, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: it is enough, the hour is come; behold, the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners . 42 Rise up, let us go; lo, he that betrayeth me is at hand . The betrayal and arrest of CHRIST (S/A - Mt 26:47-56 & Lk 22:47-53 & Jn 18:2-11) 43 And immediately, while he yet spake, 19 cometh Judas, one of the twelve, and with him a great multitude with swords and staves, from the chief priest and the scribes and the elders. PF 44 19 And he that betrayed him had given thema 20 token, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that same is he; take him, and lead him away safely. PF 45 And as soon as he was come, 19 he goeth straightway to him, and saith, Mas- ter, master; and 21 kissed him. PF 46 19 And they laid their hands on him, 22 and took him. PF 47 And 23 one of them that stood by drew a sword, and smote a servant of the high priest, and cut off his ear. 48 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Are ye come out, as against a thief, with swords and with staves to take me ? 49 I was daily with you in the temple teaching, and ye took me not: but the scriptures must be fulfilled . 50 24 And they all forsook him, and fled.
