The promise of CHRIST’S Second Coming (Fulfilled - Rev 19:11-21)

28 Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity. 29 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchres of the righteous, 30 And say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets. 31 Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that 2 ye are the children of them which killed the prophets. 32 3 Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers. 33 Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell? 34 Wherefore, behold, 4 I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall 5 kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye 6 scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from 7 city to city: 35 That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of 8 righteous 9 Abel unto the blood of 10 Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar. The promise of Jerusalem’s destruction in AD 70 (Fulfilled - AD 70) 36 Verily I say unto you, All these things 11 shall come upon this generation. P 37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them 12 which are sent unto thee, how often would 13 I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens 14 under her wings, 15 and ye would not! 38 Behold, 11 your house is left unto you desolate. 39 For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, 16 Blessed is 17 HE that cometh in the name of the Lord. P Matthew 24 CHRIST explains events preceding HIS Second Coming (S/A - Mk 13:1-37 & Lk 21:5-38) Date - Tues, Apr, AD 32 1 And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple. 2 And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, 11 There shall not be left here 18 one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down . P 3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? andwhat shall be the 19 sign of 17 thy coming, and of the 20 end of the world? P The characteristics of the first 3½ years of Daniel’s Seventieth Week (Dan 9:24-27) 4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, 21 Take heed that no man deceive you. 5 For 22 many shall come in my name, saying, 23 I am Christ; and shall deceive many. P 6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: 24 for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. P 7 24 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. P

24:4,9 Jesus promised the Jewish people that they would be an integral part of the End-Time scenario. He said concerning the last days before His return, “ Take heed that no man deceive you … Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you : and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake .” Jesus knew that Israel would be in tact as a nation and that she would be the focus of the world’s hatred right before His return. NOTE – Interestingly enough, one cannot read a newspaper or watch a news program today without the nation of Israel being one of its topics of discussion ( Lk 18:8 - #2. The denunciation of Israel ). 24:5 Jesus foretold of a time, right before His return, when many would come in His name claiming to be Him ( I am Christ ). These self-proclaimed Christs (men such as: Jim Jones, Yisrayl Hawkins, David Koresh, Herbert Armstrong, and Lord Maitreya, to name a few) believe they are the sole proprietors of God’s only true salvation. 24:6 According to Daniel 7:8,20,24 and Revelation 6:1-2, the Antichrist will rise to power by “conquering” (the meaning behind: ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars ) three of the ten horns (powers) described for us in the book of Daniel. These quick and decisive victories will lead to a global peace on earth for the first 3½ years of Daniel’s Seventieth Week. Even Israel will find herself persuaded to let down her guard (Ezk 38:11). Revelation 13:4 describes for us the power that the Antichrist will possess, “ …Who is like unto the beast? Who is able to make war with him .”
