25 But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gen- tiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them. 26 But it shall not be so among you: 1 but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister; 27 And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant: The promise of CHRIST’S redemptive work (Fulfilled - Mt 27:45,46,50 - AD 32) 28 2 Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, 3 and to give his life a ransom for many. P CHRIST heals blind Bartimaeus and a friend (S/A - Mk 10:46-52 & Lk 18:35-43) 29 And as they departed from Jericho, a great multitude followed him. 30 And, behold, two blind men sitting by the way side, when they heard that Jesus passed by, cried out, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou 4 SON OF DAVID . 31 And the multitude rebuked them, because they should hold their peace: but they cried the more, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou Son of David. 32 And Jesus stood still, and called them, and said, What will ye that I shall do unto you ? 33 They say unto him, Lord, that our eyes may be opened. 34 5 So Jesus had compassion on them, and touched their eyes: 6 and immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed him. Matthew 21 CHRIST’S triumphal entry (S/A - Mk 11:1-10 & Lk 19:29-38 & Jn 12:12-19) Date - Sun, Apr, AD 32 1 And when they drew nigh unto Jeru- salem, and were come to Bethphage, unto the mount of Olives, then sent Jesus two disciples, 2 Saying unto them, Go into the village over against you, and straightway ye shall find an ass tied, and a colt with her: loose them, and bring them unto me. 3 And if any man say ought unto you, ye shall say, The Lord hath need of them; and

straightway he will send them . 4 All this was done, that it might be 7 fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, PF 5 8 Tell ye the daughter of Sion, Behold, thy 9 KING cometh unto thee, meek, 7 and sitting upon an ass, and a colt the foal of an ass. PF 6 And the disciples went, 7 and did as Jesus commanded them, PF 7 And brought the ass, and the colt, 10 and put on them their clothes, 7 and they set him thereon. PF 8 And a very great multitude spread their garments in the way; others 11 cut down branches from the trees, and strawed them in the way. 9 And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna to the 12 SON OF DAVID : 13 Blessed is 14 HE that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest. P 10 15 And when he was come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying, Who is this? PF 11 And the multitude said, This is Jesus the prophet of Nazareth 16 of Galilee. 14 And the blind and the lame came to him in the temple; and he healed them. 15 And when the chief priests and scribes saw the wonderful things that he did, and the children crying in the temple, and saying, Hosanna to the Son of David; they were sore displeased, 20:27 THE ADAGE IS TRUE: Christianity is like tennis –those who serve well usually end up winning ( chief among you ) 21:1 Bethphage was a small village about one half mile east of Jerusalem. 21:5 Whereas conquering kings normally rode on horses when they entered a place to take it (Rev 19:11-16), kings bringing peace entered on the “colt of a donkey” or a mule (I Ki 1:33-46). 21:9 The term “ Hosanna ” means “ Oh save (or, Saviour )” and is always used in reference to the coming MESSIAH/KING (Jn 12:13, Psa 118:25 and Mt 23:39).
