was laid, that the temple might be built. 10 For before these days there was no hire for man, nor any hire for beast; neither was there any peace to him that went out or came in because of the afflic- tion: for I set all men every one against his neighbour. 11 1 But now I will not be unto the residue of this people as in the former days , saith the LORD of hosts. P 12 1 For the seed shall be prosperous; the vine shall give her fruit, and the ground shall give her increase, and the heav- ens shall give their dew; and I will cause the remnant of this people to possess all these things. P 13 1 And it shall come to pass, that as ye were a curse among the heathen, O house of Judah, and house of Israel; so will I save you, and ye shall be a blessing: fear not, but let your hands be strong. P 14 For thus saith the LORD of hosts; As I thought to punish you, when your fathers provoked me to wrath, saith the LORD of hosts, and I repented not: 15 1 So again have I thought in these days to do well unto Jerusalem and to the house of Judah: fear ye not. P 16 These are the things that ye shall do; 2 Speak ye every man the truth to his neighbour; execute the judgment of truth and peace in your gates: 17 And let none of you imagine evil in your hearts against his neighbour; and love no false oath: for all these are things 3 that I hate, saith the LORD. The “days of fasting” shall be turned into “days of feasting” during the Millennium 18 And the word of the LORD OF HOSTS came unto me, saying, 19 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; The fast of the 4 fourth month, and the fast of the fifth, and the fast of the seventh, and the fast of the 5 tenth, 1 shall be to the house of Judah joy and gladness, and cheerful feasts; therefore love the truth and peace. P 20 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; 1 It shall yet come to pass, that there shall come peo- ple, and the inhabitants of many cities: P 21 1 And the inhabitants of one city shall go to another, saying, Let us go speedily to pray 6 before the LORD , and to seek the LORD OF HOSTS : I will go also. P 22 1 Yea, many people and strong nations shall come to seek the LORD OF HOSTS
in Jerusalem, and to pray 6 before the LORD . P 23 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; 1 In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold out of all languages of the nations, even shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, We will go with you: for we have heard that God is with you. P Zechariah 9 The promise of Damascus’ fall to Greece (Fulfilled - 333 BC) Date Written - 518 BC/AM 3482 1 The burden of the word of the LORD in the land of Hadrach, and 7 Damascus shall be the 8 rest thereof: when the eyes of man, as of all the tribes of Israel, shall be toward the LORD. P The promise of Tyre’s fall to Greece (Fulfilled - 332 BC) 2 And Hamath also shall border there- by; 9 Tyrus, and Zidon, though it be very wise. P The promise of Philistia’s fall to Greece (Fulfilled - 332 BC) 5 10 Ashkelon shall see it, and fear; Gaza also shall see it, and be very sorrow- ful, and Ekron; for her expectation shall be ashamed; and the 11 king shall perish from Gaza, and Ashkelon shall not be inhabited. P 6 10 And a 12 bastard shall dwell in Ashdod, and I will cut off the pride of the Philistines. P 7 10 And I will take away 13 his blood out of his mouth, and his abominations from between his teeth: but he that remaineth, even he, shall be for our God, and he shall be as a governor in Judah, and Ekron as a Jebusite. P The promise of divine protection for Jerusalem (Fulfilled - 332 BC) 8 14 And I will encamp about mine house because of the 15 army, because of 16 him that passeth by, and because of him that returneth: and no oppressor shall pass through them any more: for now have I seen with mine eyes.
