God’s desire is to be known through His Word (His thinking), not His name ( Psa 138:2 ). God made a promise to Abraham and his descendants (Israel) long ago that the nation of Israel would always exist as a nation (Gen 12:1-3). Other nations, whose desire is to destroy the nation of Israel, would be wise to recall that promise. Amir Tsarfati, founder and president of Behold Israel , said of the nation of Israel in a message he preached at David Jeremiah’s church in California: “If I ( the LORD, which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar – vs 35) don’t keep my word concerning Israel ( If those ordinances depart from before me – vs 36), then I’m not God and Israel will cease to exist. But, as long as you can look up and see the immeasurableness of the heavens ( If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath – vs 37), there will always be a nation called Israel”… no matter what the Islamic Hadith (the purported records of the Prophet Muhammad’s actions and sayings) or the Islamic Qur’an proclaims. NOTE – The difference between all other gods and the God of the Bible is that the God of the Bible bases his entire reputation on His Word (what He says), not His name (who He is) ( I Thess 2:13 ). 5:2 The phrase “ WHOSE goings forth ” refers to CHRIST’S preincarnate physical appearances as: 1. Creature life , which is imparted (it is derived from ancestry); 2. Creator life , which is inherent (it has no beginning, even as it can have no end). Jesus claimed to have Creator life (Jn 5:26). The origin of JESUS CHRIST is not related to his birth, but to His Nature (His eternality). Acts 2:22-23 states that the coming of Jesus to save the earth had been predetermined in the counsel of God “before” the earth was formed (Titus 1:2 and Rev 13:8). Therefore, the coming of Jesus to Bethlehem of Judea, was not His origin, it was His incarnation (Jn 1:1-2, 15,30 & 12:32 & 17:5). 5:4 Micah is not saying here that HE ( CHRIST ) has a God, as some cults teach. The FATHER , the SON , and the HOLY SPIRIT are three distinct, co-eternal persons, called the Godhead ( Gen 1:1c,26a , Deut 6:4 and Rom 1:20b ). They are all equally God and each O N E is worthy of our worship ( Jn 4:20-25 & 9:35-38 and Acts 5:4 ). 1405 I always say to the enemies of Israel. Just aim your missiles to the sun, the moon, and the stars and you’ll get rid of us. If those will cease to exist, then we will no longer be there. But as long as the sun is there and the moon is there and the stars are there, we will be a nation before God, no matter what. 1 Amir is correct. According to Jeremiah 31:35-37, God says:
