6 That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the LORD, and there is none else. 7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create 1 evil: I the LORD do all these things. 8 Drop down, ye heavens, from above, and let the skies pour down righteousness: let the earth open, and let them bring forth salvation, and let righteousness spring up together; I the LORD have created it. 9 Woe unto him that striveth with his Maker! Let the potsherd strive with the potsherds of the earth. 2 Shall the clay say to him that fashioneth it, What makest thou? or thy work, He hath no hands? 10 Woe unto him that saith unto his father, What begettest thou? or to the woman, What hast thou brought forth? 11 Thus saith the LORD , the HOLY ONE of Israel, and his MAKER , Ask me of things to come concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands command ye me. 12 I have made the earth, 3 and created man upon it: I, even my hands, have stretched out the heavens, 4 and all their host have I commanded. 13 I have raised 5 him up in righteousness, and I will direct all his ways: he shall build my city, 6 and he shall let go my captives, not for price nor reward, saith the LORD OF HOSTS . P 14 Thus saith the LORD, The labour of Egypt, and merchandise of Ethiopia and of the Sabeans, men of stature, 6 shall come over unto thee, and they shall be thine: they shall come after thee; in chains they shall come over, and they shall fall down unto thee, they shall make supplication unto thee, saying , Surely God is in thee; and there is none else, there is no God. P

15 Verily thou art a God that hidest thy self, O God of Israel, the 7 SAVIOUR . 16 6 They shall be 8 ashamed, and also con- founded, all of them: they shall go to confu- sion together that are makers of idols. P 17 6 But Israel shall be saved in the LORD with an everlasting salvation: 9 ye shall not be ashamed nor confounded world without end. P 18 For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; G O D himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the 10 LORD ; and there is none else. 19 I have not spoken in 11 secret, in a dark place of the earth: I said not unto the seed of Jacob, Seek ye me in vain: I the LORD speak righteousness, I declare things that are right. 20 6 Assemble yourselves and come; draw near together, ye that are escaped of the nations: they have no knowledge that set up the wood of their graven image, and pray unto a god that cannot save. P 21 6 Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I the 10 LORD ? and there is no 12 GOD else beside me; a just 13 God and a Saviour; there is none beside me. P 22 Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am 13 GOD , and there is none else. The promise of a Kingdom where

23 14 I have sworn by 15 MYSELF , the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, 45:7 God did not create evil per se. He “allowed it to exist” when He gave free-willed creatures the choice to choose between being self-willed or God-willed ( Gen 2:17a ). Marilyn Meberg in What to do When the Roof Caves In notes: God did not “will” rape, war, disease, injustice, murder, molestation, or any of the other calamities that fall upon us. To sin was a human choice. God allowed the choice. But now, as we sit in the disastrous consequences of that choice, God promises to bring good out of bad. There is coming a day in the very near future when Muslim nations (such as, Egypt, Ethiopia, and the Arabs) shall fall down and acknowledge that Jehovah ( Gen 2:4b ), not Allah ( Gen 16:10 ), is the one and only true God. 45:18 Isaiah 45:18 expressly declares that the earth was “ not ” created in the condition in which Genesis 1:2 views it. According to this verse, the first earth was created a perfect world ( Gen 1:1 c ), inhabited by angelic beings ( Ezk 28:12 -15). At some point in time, some of those angelic beings rebelled ( Isa 14:12 -14). As a result, the first earth experienced an upheaval and became without form and had to be reconditioned for man’s entrance into the world ( Gen 1:2 c ). 45:21-22 The Bible claims that “ God and a Savior ” are one in the same. The NT agrees ( Mt 1:21 , Acts 4:12 and Titus 2:13 ), as does CHRIST ( Jn 14:6 ). Man cannot save himself.
