ISAIAH 12:4
ISAIAH 13:11
1063
1. Fulfilled - Rev 20:4,6 (Christ’s Kingdom) 2. Psa 98:1 3. Isa 5:19 & 6:3 4. Zeph 3:14-15 5. Fulfilled - Dan 5:30-31 (Fall of Babylon) 6. Jere 51:25 7. or, “the Medo- Persians” - Isa 13:17-22 & 45:1-4 8. Note - These three verses (vs 3-5) clearly indicate that God uses the fury of men against each other to orchestrate His own will ( for mine anger – vs 3). Thus, the LORD OF HOSTS ( even the LORD – vs 5) is viewed as the One who is calling the “shots,” i.e., the armies of the world against each other to battle. 9. Fulfilled - Rev 14:14-20 & 19:17-21 (Armageddon) 10. Isa 34:1-4 11. Fulfilled - Rev 19:11-21 (Christ’s Second Coming) Note - The “ DAY OF THE LORD ” here is both immediate ( is at hand - vs 1-6,17- 22) and future ( And I will punish the world for their evil - vs 6-11-16). The immediate view is the fall of Babylon in 539 BC (Dan 5:30-31). The ultimate view is the fall of “Political” Babylon near the end of the Great Tribulation (Rev 18). 12. Mic 4:9 13. Fulfilled - Rev. 6:12-17 (Sun, Moon, and Stars Darkened) 14. Isa 26:21
4 And 1 in that day shall ye say, Praise the LORD, call upon his name, declare his doings among the people, make mention that his name is exalted. P 5 2 Sing unto the LORD; 1 for he hath done excellent things: this is known in all the earth. 6 Cry out and shout, thou inhabitant of Zion: for great is the HOLY 3 O N E of Israel 1 in the 4 midst of thee. READ NEXT - Isaiah 17 Isaiah 13 The promise of Babylon’s fall to Medo-Persia (Fulfilled - Dan 5:30,31 - 539 BC) (Note - This portion of Isaiah’s prophecy took place in the 10th year of King Hezekiah’s reign) Date Written - c. 717 BC/AM 3283 1 5 The burden of Babylon, which Isaiah the son of Amoz did see. P 2 5 Lift ye up a banner upon the 6 high mountain, exalt the voice unto them, shake the hand, that they may go into the gates of the nobles. P 4 5 The noise of a multitude in the moun- tains, like as of a great people; 9 a tumul- tuous noise of the kingdoms of nations gathered together: the LORD OF HOSTS mustereth the host of the battle. P P 5 5 They come from a far country, from the end of heaven, even the LORD , and the weapons of his 10 indignation, to destroy the whole land. 13:1 This word ( burden ), which is repeated in Isaiah 15:1; 17:1; 19:1; 21:1; 22:1 and 23:1, is the Hebrew word massa , and may be translated “ oracle ” or “ vision .” What Isaiah envisioned , as though it were actually happening, was the future judgment of Babylon in 539 BC by the Medo-Persians… 178 years before it actually occurred (Dan 5:30-31). The greatest attribute of God is that He is a God of His Word. What He says, He will do ( Isa 44:21- 45:4 ,13).
