Isaiah is a book of prophecies. There are 3,196 prophecies found in the Old Testament. One-fourth of those 3,193 prophecies come directly from the book of Isaiah , ( 782 of them to be exact). The book of Isaiah contains more prophecies than most of all the other Old Testament books combined. Only two other books in the entire Old Testament even come close to the number of prophecies that are in Isaiah : Jeremiah (with 576 prophecies) and Ezekiel (with 671 prophecies). The book of Psalms (with 161 prophecies) comes in a distance fourth. Of those 3,196 prophecies found in the Old Testament, 705 of them refer to CHRIST . One-third of those 705 prophecies come directly from the book of Isaiah , ( 243 of them to be exact). The book of Isaiah contains more prophecies concerning CHRIST than most of all the other Old Testament books combined. Only one other book in the entire Old Testament even comes close to the number of prophecies concerning CHRIST that are in Isaiah : Psalms (with 137 prophecies). The book of Zechariah (with 63 prophecies) comes in a distance third. One-half of all prophecies found in the Old Testament concerning the HOLY SPIRIT come directly from the book of Isaiah , 2 of them to be exact. The other 2 come from the book of Joel .
