traumatize most folks. We have all been hardened by the news, the movies, and the internet. We have heard so much about shocking disclosures, persecuted whistle-blowers, and sad developments, that many have become numb to much of the news. My hope in writing this story is that you as the reader will become aware of the plight of those who have actually endured such things, and that it will cause us all to value every day as a gift from God. May this story open your understanding, as it did mine. Not only did it open my understanding, but it has challenged me to live life to its fullest every day. May you read with interest and intrigue.
