The Royal Chef At Home: Easy Seasonal Entertaining
FALL
S eptember in Texas can be a beast. Hot and humid with oppressive swollen skies. Air conditioners running full blast just so you can stay dry. Children trudging home from school wilting under their heavy backpacks. By contrast, there is truly nothing as wonderful as a golden English September, so soft and lovely that its memory can sustain you as the wet chill of fall descends and settles deep into your bones, where it will stay lodged until spring. By October we English begin the annual rites of “putting on the kettle,” constantly heating up cups of tea to stay warm.
