Today, we live in the interval between the first and second advents, like in a valley between two mountains, a period that was not revealed to the Old Testament prophets in the sense in which we know it (they saw only the mountains). The prophets did see the awful sufferings of Jesus and also the glorious crowning in kingship--and much of the foretold glory of a future Israel which makes remarkable spiritual application to the Church.
