these kids were serious about the Salvation they had experienced.
As we were baptizing the kids, Pastor Sarge and I had noticed a Hispanic man sitting on the riverbank. We spoke to him and found out he was in a hopeless situation and had a dream the night before. In the dream, he was told to go to the river tomorrow and there he would find out what he needed to do. We told him he needed Jesus. Pastor Sarge and I told him Jesus would direct his path from that day forward. We baptized him and he went on his way rejoicing. As I stated earlier, one thing I know about teenagers is they are always hungry. So, we packed them all up again and headed to Dr. Munchies Pizza that was located on Commercial Street in one of the busiest areas of Salem. Even though the kids were still wet from their public river baptism, we told them to order some pizzas and try to dry off as well as they could. We were all full of joy in the Lord, rejoicing with them as they had given their lives to the Lord. The pizzas were good and hot, and the sodas were good and cold. What happened next was a God thing I have never forgotten. It stands out in my mind as though it were yesterday. In the middle of the pizza celebration, Goldilocks ran up to me and said, “Bobby, you gotta’ help this guy.” I was a little slow to respond because I wasn’t sure what he was saying. So, with even more urgency and a little louder, Goldilocks face was right up next to mine. He
