ORANGE FARM
As promised, William picked us up in his car and drove us to the Orange Farm to meet Pastors Anthony and Mary. Immediately, Bobby and I could see why Sondra loved this amazing couple so much. The moment we met Mary, she and I hugged. She held onto me and was crying, mourning over the loss of our precious friend, Sondra. They pastor Maranatha Church in the Orange Farm. (Fun Fact: there are no orange trees in the Orange Farm! Go figure!) In addition to caring for the orphans, this precious couple run a creche. A creche is a daycare center. We went there for the Happy Birthday, Jesus Party. It was the most amazing experience being there. I think there were about 80 children at the creche that day. The children present were absolutely the most well-behaved children either of us had ever seen in our lives. Imagine 80 children sitting in their small chairs, not talking, not interrupting, not touching other children. They were paying attention. It was so impressive. We passed out gifts to the children and some of the workers at the creche. We played with the children and, wearing his faux leopard-trimmed Santa hat, Bobby played guitar and sang for the kids. Some of the kids took the kaleidoscopes they had been given and began using them as drumsticks. Some of the children were dancing. It was so much fun! The pastors wanted to show us their lovely home and their church. While we were at their home, Mary told us when Sondra passed away, she asked her husband
