The streets are cold and lonely, not much sign of life

Shattered glass and shattered dreams

You can cut the darkness with a knife

But in the midst of this hell on earth,

Somethin’ heavenly is going down

God is good on the Bad Side of Town

It seems somehow we’ve forgotten, broken people exist

We just love hangin’ out with our stained-glass Jesus.

Living in a world of bliss

But down the road there’s a hell on earth

Jesus loves to hang around
