that God had sent us there and they didn’t have to worry about us because He would protect us.

Finally, in a desperate plea to us he stated, “Listen. I just got a call from the UN Captain, and he told me that if you are going to be out here, you have to move back a little bit.” Then he said, “ Let me put it to you this way. At this checkpoint we search cars and trucks for drugs, weapons, and kidnap victims. The drug lords and gang lords drive by and shoot at us. And we shoot back at them. ” Then he firmly got our attention when he said, “The Captain just radioed and told me to tell you that we can’t have any Americans killed out here… so can you just move back a little bit?” That was one directive I completely understood. So, we moved our little BP Gas Station church service back a few yards as was requested, and we cranked up the music and open-air preaching. Over one hundred Haitians flooded that gas station lot to hear the praise and worship music, to listen to the Gospel being preached and to get personal prayer from our team. The majority of the people on the lot gave their hearts to Jesus and were laughing and dancing in the streets for hours. God had truly showed up in Haiti. God had definitely called us to Port-au-Prince to stand for righteousness and lift up the Name of Jesus. Everyone we encountered, from the streets to the hospital, from those worshipping the voodoo pig to the UN Peacekeepers
