Sing Into Your Storm

Half measures don’t move H eaven very well. Just look at what happened to the people of Judah who chose to place their trust in their God! At that moment, the Spirit fell upon a prophet named Jahaziel, ( who was Zechariah’s son ). He spoke under a powerful prophetic unction from the Lord and proclaimed: “ Listen, all you of Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem, and you, King Jehoshaphat! Thus says the L ORD to you: Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s ! Tomorrow go down against them. They will surely come up by the Ascent of Ziz, and you will find them at the end of the brook before the Wilderness of Jeruel. You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, stand still and see the salvation

of the L ORD , who is with you, O Judah and Jerusalem! Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them, for the L ORD is with you.” (2 Chronicles 20:15-17)

Once they heard this, they knew – they had the blueprint of Heaven for the battle – for it had been given to them by God!

What an amazing revelation! The battle is not ours – the battle belongs to the Lord! Yes, the battle belongs to the Lord, but only when we give it over to Him completely and unconditionally! Otherwise, the battle belongs to us!! The high failure rate for so many of our previous battles in life comes from becoming so overcome with fear or anger etc. that we tried (chose) to engage the battle by ourselves, attempting
