Sing Into Your Storm

Paul Billheimer in his most excellent book “Destined for the Throne” shares one of the best descriptions ever written on the purpose of our creation… it is God’s ultimate intention! “ The primary purpose of the universe is the production and preparation of an Eternal Companion for the Son, and since she is to share the throne of the universe with her Divine Lover and Lord, she must be trained for that role during this life on earth!” During your Christian walk, the Lord will take you through a journey (process) to develop your heart towards holy and pure passion for Him. In the early stages of this new life your heart is immature and well rooted in “ self ” ( your own interests), and by nature your mental rationale (decision making) operates by default in self-will. Please try to unders tand something here… The Lord is the Author of some of the storms in your life, and the rest of them the Lord allows to touch your life (but He works in and through all of them). Through God’s dealings , they all accomplish His distinct purposes to help cultivate the soil of your heart, break up hard ground (areas of hardness in your heart), uprooting weeds to prepare fertile soil so He can sow fresh God seed into those areas! The planting of the Lord! All of your trials, tests and tribulations are intended to bring your immature heart into a deeper union with Jesus, to deepen your love and dependence upon Him, your Bridegroom King!
