Sing Into Your Storm

For too long, we as Christians have curled up like a potato bug in the midst of our adversity, and live out the greatest portion our journey from a defensive posture… hiding in our winepress just as Gideon did! Satan and his cohorts have had a field day against man since the fall! Satan has employed incredible craftiness through the lies of his silver tongue to usurp God given authority that was originally commissioned to man.

It all started in the Garden of Eden when God delegated authority and rule over the entire earth to Adam.

“Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” (Genesis 1:26)

We understand that at the fall of Adam and Eve, they ended up relinquishing that authority and rule which entrusted to them over to the serpent. Satan usurped the authority that had rightfully been given to Adam. Jesus confirmed that this authority had been stolen by Satan when He declared:

“ Now is the judgment of this world; now the ruler of this world will be cast out.” (John 12:31)

Satan himself confirmed it too, while he was tempting Jesus at the end of His 40 day fast in the Judean wilderness:
