5. But, Lord, ’tis for Thee, for Thy coming we wait, The sky, not the grave, is our goal; Oh, trump of the angel! Oh, voice of the Lord! Blessed hope, blessed rest of my soul! 6. And Lord, haste the day when the faith shall be sight, The clouds be rolled back as a scroll; The trump shall resound, and the Lord shall descend, Even so, it is well with my soul.” I was utterly overcome with emotion as I heard the radio announcer recite the words to this song! I couldn’t even imagine the level of pain this man must have felt. How on earth with that level of grief and sorrow could he have brought himself to write such an incredible song of praise, and hope at such a difficult moment? I have always been a fervent worshipper, sprung out of deep gratitude for the enormous debt that the Lord had paid on my behalf. At that time, I as a subscriber to the Integrity Hosanna Music Club in which I received their newest praise and worship cassette about every eight weeks. Almost at the same time as I was so richly enjoying the “Focus on the Family’s” stories behind the great hymn’s, I had also just received Hosanna’s brand new album for that period which was called “God Will Make A Way” by Don Moen.
