Sing Into Your Storm ~ Overcoming Adversity Through High Praise

“Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content: I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” (Philippians 4:11-13)

It doesn’t mean there won’t be many tears shed as we endure the dark nights (seasons) of testing, trial, tribulations and tragedies etc. But we must not lose our song in the night ! Hold on! Hold on! Gain and then hold your eternal perspective ! That is why it is so important to learn Beloved! Keeping perspective, even when you encounter category five hurricanes in your life. Just look at the life that Jesus modeled for you! Jesus went through the most severe of all testing and trial, yet in every situation He emerged victoriously – because He had learned to kept eternal perspective (focus).

“Looking unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross , despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” (Hebrews 12:2)

Facing the most horrible scenario anybody could ever endure, a painful and agonizing death on a cross, Jesus stayed focused upon the will of His Father, and with joy before Him (the Bible says that’s what He saw)! He victoriously overcame the greatest trial of all time! That’s why He told us:

“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have
