Sing Into Your Storm ~ Overcoming Adversity Through High Praise

life is a matter of the heart! Always remember this… God is worthy of your trust, no matter how difficult your situation! Remember that your God is Baal Perazim, the God of the breakthrough! He is your way maker! Let Him prove it to you! Encountering severe storms in our life continually beg the question in our minds… why? The natural mind will (by default), try to develop a wide variety of explanations i.e. God is punishing me, the devil is oppressing me, it’s just my bad luck, etc. We can exert an enormous amount of energy trying to ascertain answers. The reality in every storm is that the actual cause could be from any number of reasons – but “ why” is not the right question! The right question is “ what?” What is this storm unto ? We must learn to inquire of the Lord as to what possible purposes there could there be in this storm that we can learn and grow. Regardless of the cause - what is the purpose? In every storm there is Divine Opportunity to grow and develop towards maturity in Christ. Ever notice that we tend to go around the mountain again and again until we come to the place where finally learn to go up the mountain? Ask yourself this… Can the Fruit of the Spirit in me be ripened (sweetened) through this storm? Can my character be more developed in Christ? Can my faith be strengthened to trust the Lord more? Can a powerful testimony come forth from this storm that will encourage and strengthen others as they face similar storms? Search your heart in the matter!
