Sing Into Your Storm ~ Overcoming Adversity Through High Praise

I tell you… His voice was like finding an oasis in the desert! It was the first gleam of real hope I had felt in the longest time! Come Monday morning, I am sure you know where I was! In the rented building before work, walking through each room of the business, praying and praising God!! I didn’t know what would happen, but I did know I was on the right track! Prayer and praise in the midst of the storm! I was getting my “second wind” after hearing the voice of the Lord! About two hours later that very morning… I am not kidding, I received a phone call from a man who said it was urgent that he and his partner meet with me asap. I arranged for them to come down to our building that very afternoon! It turns out that one of the guys was a stock broker, and the other man was in the insurance industry. They both had the same idea as me for this niche market. They had gone as far as actually create an “C” Corporation, and hired top securities lawyers from the Silicon Valley in California. Their plan was to do a Regulation “A” stock offering so people could buy into the business. It could raise 5 million dollars! The only thing they didn’t have – was an actual brick and mortar building and product, which I did have... I listened to them with great interest (but also fearing their punchline). I was shocked (funny how that happens) when they said “We propose a merger of our two companies into one. You would be the President/CEO of the new company. You would have sole discretion of appointing your new Board of Directors.
