Becoming A Living Sacrifice

H ebrews 13:15-16 reads ,

“ through Jesus, therefore, let us continually

offer to God a sacrifice of praise — the fruit of

lips that openly profess his name. And do not

forget to do good and to share with others,

for with such sacrifices God is pleased. ”

Have you realized in the above passage that

the word sacrifice was used twice to denote the level

of importance? In the Old Testament, sacrifices were

at the centre of their worship and were utilized to

demonstrate the value of God as the men and

women of old give their bull or goats as a form of

honoring God. Today, we are privileged to be

benefactors of the greatest redemptive sacrifice ever
