speak to me from Ezekiel 7:23, saying “ Make a chain. This

land is full of crime and violence. ” My pastor immediately

responded by saying, “ that’s in my heart and we can do

that here. Let’s get started right away…. 24 hours a day, seven days a week. You set it in motion, Dale. You introduce it and

train the workers. Let’s do it. ” I agreed to give oversight to

the 24/7 prayer chain. We chose a room above the

church auditorium, where Joy Nichols and several

ladies had been meeting to pray. One day Jean and I

were praying with several of the church leaders when

someone shouted, “this is a power tower!” So, that’s what

we named it, The Power Tower . We started the prayer

chain on the second Sunday in May 1995, and the Power

Tower continued 24/7 for the next 19 years, with

intercessors, praying at the church in two-hour

increments. Over 300 people participated, and almost a

million prayer requests came into the prayer center

during this time!
