Taylor Gentry

I n May of 1992, Jessica Taylor Jean Gentry came

into this world. She has brought great joy into our lives!

It wasn’t long before it became evident that Taylor

would be a strong leader. I remember her spending

Friday nights with us, and listening to her pray before

she went to sleep. We knew God had a special plan for

her life. Taylor became a great worship leader and

musician with a special anointing.

She graduated from First Baptist Academy in

Dallas, Texas, where she was voted “ class favorite and

most friendly” of her senior class. We were with her the

day she received her acceptance letter to attend the

University of Oklahoma, which had been a lifelong

dream. She worked her way through college. One of her

jobs was working for a funeral home, where she lived in

an apartment above the facility. She also worked as a

hostess for the Oklahoma Sooners football team. In 2015,
