Chapter Fifteen

Door Open To England Opens Wide

1990:

N orman and Grace Barnes invited us to minister

at their church in Goodmayes, England. I later

discovered that Goodmayes, which is in Essex County,

was the very location where my Gentry ancestors were

born and lived for over 300 years! I had met Norman

while both of us were ministering at a mission’s

conference in West Columbia, Texas. He later became a

part of our apostolic covering in the United Kingdom.

Norman and Grace were a tremendous blessing to Jean

and me.

After our ministry at Goodmayes, we traveled to

Marlow and Leatherhead to minister for Alistair Bullen.

Our final service in England that year was at Cobham

Christian Fellowship, led by Martin Scott and founded

by Gerald Coates. It was the beginning of a wonderful

journey with Gerald and his wife Anona, who served on
