Next Steps 2.0 - Moving To Maturity

Read aloud each of the four numbered statements above substituting the word “My” for the word “Our” as you make a commitment to renewal. For example, “My goal is to think like God thinks about everything.”

Question to Ponder: “Did you have any hesitation in making any of these statements personal? What was a struggle for you? Why do you think that is the case?”

How can we experience a renewed mind?

1. It starts with a desire or hunger for a renewed mind.

This is a universal spiritual principle that works in nearly all areas of spiritual life. Jesus said, “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled” (Mt. 5:6). Unless we see the need for something, we will not reach out for a solution. The greater our quest for answers, the greater our hunger and the more passionate we are in our effort to arrive at the desired end, the more likely we are to receive that for which we have desired.
