Next Steps 2.0 - Moving To Maturity

Building on the Foundation

In the previous study (See: Next Steps 1.0 ) we looked at laying a proper foundation for the Christian life. This included sessions on the importance of a good foundation, hearing and responding to the voice of the Lord, practicing a life of receiving and extending forgiveness, walking in repentance, living a life of faith, experiencing the freedom that comes to us through water baptism, receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit and power, entering into a discipleship relationship with God, becoming a discipler of others, and entering into community with others by engaging in the life flow of a local church. If you did not complete Next Steps 1.0 , it would be beneficial for you to do so, especially if you are a new believer or someone who has recently rededicated themselves to the Lord. Even though everyone will benefit from the journey on which we are about to embark, it will have even more significance for those who have already laid a strong foundation for their Christian life. When we think of a foundation as it pertains to our natural context, we think of a new beginning and the promise of a future house or structure that is yet to come. When we think of a foundation for our Christian life, it is also just the beginning steps and is it is also a promise of a future destiny
