Next Steps 1.0 - Securing The Foundation

How To Use This Book

After Peter preached to the multitudes on the Day of Pentecost in Acts 2, the people who heard the message were moved in their hearts and under conviction from the Holy Spirit. They rushed forward and, with a sense of urgency, asked, “Men and brethren, what shall we do?” In other words, “How are we to respond to what we have just heard?” Peter was faithful to answer their question in the way that would lead them into a proper Christian birth experience and a solid foundation for their Christian life. Notice what it says in the Book of Acts regarding this experience: Peter's words pierced their hearts, and they said to him and to the other apostles, "Brothers, what should we do?" Peter replied, "Each of you must repent of your sins and turn to God, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. This promise is to you, and to your children, and even to the Gentiles—all who have been called by the Lord our God." Then Peter continued preaching for a long time, strongly urging all his listeners, "Save yourselves from this crooked generation!" Those who believed what Peter said were baptized and added to the church that day—about 3,000 in all. This booklet is designed to give every believer in Christ a basic foundation for their new found life in Christ. In addition, it is designed to assist the believer in inspecting their personal foundation in the faith, ensuring that none of the basic building blocks to victorious Christian living are missing in their life and experience.
