One day Saul sees his reflection in Samuel’s bronze mirror. Gasping at the sight, he cries out, “ What have I done to myself?” Coming to his senses, Saul realizes his deteriorated appearance is actually deplorable! Also, while he’s at it, he realizes he must also invest in some appropriate clothing. Fortunately, I cut my father’s hair for many years, so I am just the person to help you!” Before Saul knows what is happening, Esther seats him and cuts off some of the long, tangled, dirty strands. Leading him over to a large tub, she aggressively soaps his head and remaining locks of hair and then seats him again for more trimming.
