I Appeal To Caesar!
Artemus awaits his turn, overwhelmed with joy!
Ananias submerges the young soldier into the river, and Artemus also emerges from the water baptized with the Holy Spirit—also speaking fluently in the Arabic tongue of his father, a tongue he labored to understand, but now instantly understands and uses, as he will do in future ministry! The three jubilant men wade to the shore, ecstatic with the joy of the Lord! They clamor out of the river and head for Immanuel Temple. * * * * * Rabbi Aaron sits fascinated as the three excited men, two newly baptized both in water and the Holy Spirit, tell of God’s greatness. After an emotional prayer time, it is decided that Artemus will tell the four soldiers of Saul’s decision to terminate their mission and burn the High Priest’s official papers. The four men will be urged to return and tell Caiaphas what happened. Artemus will not mention his conversion for now, but merely state he, too, will quit the business of exterminating Christians. Saul will continue to share his message in as many synagogues as possible. * * * * * Things develop fast. The soldiers of Caiaphas are shocked and angry. Reacting violently, they brand Saul and Artemus as traitors. Two of the men rush off to inform Caiaphas while the other two do their best to keep surveillance on the whereabouts of Saul and Artemus. Rabbi Aaron contacts all of the elders in the various synagogues, alerting them of what has transpired.
