I Appeal To Caesar!

His tirade climaxes with a startling, irrevocable announcement: “Any follower of Jesus cannot be a servant in this house or the Temple of Yahweh!” Staff dismissed! No discussion! The stunned workers stumble away deeply troubled, but none is under a darker cloud than Amram. Mother and son pray together about this new development—serious prayer that fills their hearts with increased hope for Rachel’s healing! Time passes and their desperation becomes extreme! As the Passover draws near Amram hears rumors that Jesus will be coming to Jerusalem. Rachel’s excitement zooms beyond description! * * * * * Unknown to Rachel and everyone else in Jerusalem, this visit of Jesus will be His final time of earthly ministry. The Roman governor and the Jewish Sanhedrin already conspire to condemn and crucify Jesus of Nazareth. Rachel’s friends have boundless enthusiasm and expectancy about Jesus’ coming; together they determine that somehow, they must, they will get Rachel to Jesus! But…oh God! How can it be accomplished?
